In her installation for the exhibition The making of, Dorit Margreiter developed a concept for a late-afternoon/early-evening TV series set in the milieu of art institutions. The scenario takes up the sociotope found at the Generali Foundation, using it to create a number of fictive characters whose identities, professional and private interrelationships define the narrative scope. In the outline for the series, which is presented in the form of a trailer, the fundamental capacity of social formations to be mediatized is made manifest—with the field of art as a mainstream-compatible ambience whose potential has not (yet) been explored.
